The 14th version of our Trade show will take place from the 26 to the 28 of February (2008) at the Convention Center of Cartagena (Colombia), where we plan to summon more than 1.500 visitors and 120 technology and international TV programming exhibitors. The main topic of the show will be: Convergence and Audio-visual Entertainment which will be the main focus of each of the principal activities: • Commercial Exhibition • Ibero-American Convergence Forum – ICF 2008 • Latin Screens 2008 • Academic Seminars • Workshops.

Convergence and Audio-visual Entertainment
Convergence is a term that can be defined from very different scopes: service providers, networks, technology, etc. For ANDINA LINK convergence is a technological innovation process which is rapidly transforming the cable television industry and simultaneously, the telecommunications industry as well. This process, which allows CATV operators together with telecommunications companies to provide triple and quadruple play services, has led to a new market where the audio-visual entertainment plays a fundamental role. ANDINA LINK 2008 CARTAGENA will be the scenario to answer all the questions related to this new market and analyze the challenges and business opportunities that multimedia audiovisual contents offer to this new competitors in Latin America.
