More than 800 people attended ANDINA LINK CENTRAL AMERICA GUATEMALA 2008, the perfect environment to learn about the new market options in technology and international programming, as well as the prospects of convergence and digitalization of the Central American region.

Within the overall framework of the event activities were developed in different areas while complementing the academic and the commercial areas and likewise the regulation and projections at the institutional level and guild of this market so interesting.

The inauguration ceremony whit  the presence of  the Director of  UNCOSU Unidad de Control y Supervision del ministerio de Comunicaciones infraestructura y vivienda - Lic. Jose Alejandro Perez Arrechea, and Ms Luz Marina Arango President of ANDINA LINK, who gave their words of welcome to all the attendees to ANDINA LINK CENTRAL AMERICA 2008 GUATEMALA. Followed by the CENTRAL FORUM: CONVERGENT TECHNOLOGIES AS PROMOTERS OF THE ENTERPRISE COMPETITIVENESS IN CENTRAL AMERICA.

On the first day of event also marked the beginning of the academic seminars, aimed at projecting in a comprehensive manner both theoretical and practical, new technologies and management models for the adoption of standards and digital delivery of service telecom convergence, complete with interesting academic Workshops developed by leading companies in the industry: RGB Network, ARRIS, Videoswitch, JDSU and PPC among others.

Similarly, the commercial exhibition has shown a sustained growth year after year, with more than 900 Mts2 of built booth constructions, as well as in the portfolio of companies that offer a wide range of technology products and services  and international programming, thus calling for an interesting audience made up of cable operators, telecommunications carriers and other companies in the sector. Complemented by COMMERCIAL WORKSHOPS aimed to cable operators and how to address and meet the new market of small and medium enterprises, and compete in this market with large enterprises.
